The Google Problem Solving courses have been developed by CAHSI (www.cahsi.org) and have been used at Kean University as both stand-alone courses (AY 2018-2019) and provided as material to the Supplemental Instruction (SI) process (AY 2019-2020).
Sarah Hug --> possible modeling of PS1, PS2 to Kean Faculty (invite others?) date TBD 1st quarter 2021.
Olaf Fuentes (UTEP) --> growth mindset lesson -- could be useful. (S. Hug)
Year 0: {AY 2018-2019] The Problem Solving courses were offered (CPS 2201 (1), 2202 (1) , 2203 (2)) as free electives and students enrolled fall and spring. (MB, JL)
Year 1: [Spring 2020] The Problem Solving courses were used as input to SI in CPS 1231. (D. Kwak. C. Huang, and other faculty involved.)
Year 2: [AY 2020-2021] CPS 1231 and CPS 2231 will use a repository of Problem Solving materials (D. Kwak, Y. Kumar working with other faculty). For fall 2020, SI
work will be extra credit, with PS materials. For spring 2021, CPS 1231/2231/2232/2240 will be aligned and the PS courses will be included in the course labs.
