Sickness & Illness Policy

To protect the health and well-being of everyone in care, Part of Your World Home Childcare follows a strict 48-hour illness exclusion policy.

Children displaying any new signs or symptoms of illness must remain home for monitoring. The 48-hour period begins once symptoms requiring exclusion have stopped. If symptoms return or a new symptom develops, the 48-hour period begins again.

Mild lingering symptoms following an illness may be accepted at Ms. Brittney’s discretion once the required exclusion period has been completed and the child otherwise meets the requirements for returning to care.

Families may be required to complete a Return to Care Questionnaire. This does not replace or shorten the illness policy or 48-hour exclusion period.

The Parent Handbook/Childcare Contract outlines full illness requirements. Open, honest and timely communication regarding illness is required.
