Welcome to Part of Your World Home Childcare!

Part of Your World Home Childcare offers a nurturing, home-based environment where children are supported through free-choice, play-based exploration that reflects how young children naturally learn and develop.

Each day provides children with opportunities to engage in meaningful learning experiences through open-ended play, hands-on exploration, and daily routines. Group times may include reading engaging stories, songs, conversations, and activities that support early language, social development, and foundational concepts such as colours, shapes, letters, and numbers. Learning experiences are flexible and responsive, allowing children to explore at their own pace and follow their interests.

Rather than focusing on identical crafts or adult-directed outcomes, the program emphasizes the learning process. Children are encouraged to create, experiment, problem-solve, and express themselves in ways that are meaningful and unique to them.

This independently operated home childcare program provides care for children approximately 18 months to 4 years of age, before entering Junior Kindergarten.

About Me

Hello! My name is Ms. Brittney, and I’m the proud owner and provider of Part of Your World Home Childcare. I began my home childcare journey in 2015, about a year after our daughter was born, and I’ve truly loved every moment since.

I am a recent graduate of the Early Childhood Education Diploma Program at Mohawk College and hold my registration with the College of ECEs in good standing.

Outside of childcare, my family and I enjoy summer camping with our trailer, taking our dog Blu for walks, exploring new places, and spending time with our extended family. Recently, I’ve developed a newfound obsession with honey bees 🐝, their teamwork, dedication, and care for their hive inspire many of the values I incorporate into my childcare environment.

I strive to provide a safe, warm, and nurturing home environment where children are supported in learning through play, exploration, and everyday experiences at their own pace. My home is smoke-free, pet-friendly, and we share our space with one gentle dog. It is independently operated and is not affiliated with a licensed childcare agency.

While operating independently, I remain informed by best practices in early learning and child development. I am familiar with Ontario resources, such as "How Does Learning Happen?", and I use these documents as guiding references when reflecting on my daily practices. I also make every effort to operate in alignment with applicable requirements of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) and the expectations set out by the Ontario Ministry of Education for unlicensed home childcare settings.
