Welcome to Year 5
Throughout Year 5, we offer every pupil the opportunity to further themselves academically as well as socially through the provision we have in place. As a cohort, we look forward to celebrating their successes and supporting them through any challenges they may face. Our personal qualities are consistently embedded throughout all aspects of our curriculum, and as a result we feel that children will become independent and creative learners, with an excellent attitude and focus, ready to move into Year 6.
We have some very exciting learning opportunities throughout the year, including subject based trips such as a scientific visit to the National Space Centre, a historical World War I experience day and the prospect of a 2-night residential.
Within our Year 5 curriculum, we are thrilled that our Griffins also get the opportunity to learn to play an instrument with support of Warwickshire Music. This continues throughout the duration of the year and is completely funded by the school as part of our outstanding music curriculum. We hope that this is something our Year 5's look forward to!
Please take a look at the information about the Year 5 curriculum on this page. If you have any questions that you need to discuss with your child’s class teacher, please do not hesitate to contact the school to make an appointment. We hope that your children have a fantastic year ahead of them!

Year 5 Curriculum Overview
Each term the Year 5 teachers will produce an overview explaining what will be being covered in all aspects of our Year 5 curriculum. They will also create a family support video which we hope supports our families with strategies or ways to support with your child's learning at home.
