That first song, especially when listened to while watching the video, shows clearly that babies do NOT learn to "self-soothe" or become "independent" when left alone to cry uncomforted. This lullaby, "Momma's Here," was written as a model for how babies and young children SHOULD transition to sleep: in the arms of its mother or other loving careggiver with whom the child has a strong and secure attachment.
I've decided to make this song available to all who appreciate the beauty of the song and its message. You can listen to it here, download it to your Google Drive account, and/or share it with any and all who would benefit from its message that we should respect the needs and feelings of our babies and young children, including their need to be close to a loving parent/attachment figure as they transition to sleep.
