Procedures of practicum

I traveled to the Philippines on November 1st, 2024, and arrived at Saint Mary's University, Nueva Vizcaya Province on November 2nd, 2024.
November 4, 2024, Welcome party
First week of November observation and assistantship. I went to grade 1 in SMU grade school to observe classes. I also went to SMU to observe university classes. On Saturday we went to Banaue to see beautiful mountains and buy souvenirs there.
In the second week I prepared my lesson plans and materials for my teaching demonstration. I assisted my buddy Frances in teaching St, Dominic class and I did my teaching demonstration in St, Rose and St, Elizabeth classes.
In the third week I observed and assisted in classes

of my cooperative teacher and my buddy Frances.

On Saturday we went to Ambaguio to visit

a museum and learn about the history of local

people there and also get to try many delicious

there.

In the last week of November I did blog writing and joined university activities such as the Chrismas parade, Steh night It was a new experience for me to join an activity like this in which we dressed according to the theme that they set up and went to socialize with new people to make friends, and lastly we prepare for the farewell party. I returned back to Thailand on 29, November

Outcomes of practicum

I got to learn and experience so many things that I have never tried in my life. It was my first time abroad It was an eye-opening experience for me and one of the best memories that I had in my life. I got to be around many intelligent and amazing people who inspired me to improve myself in so many ways which I think in life is not easy to find. Since I came back from the exchange program I felt something different had happened to me I feel more confident in myself since when I was in the Philippines I got to try many things and meet new people every day which made me gain confidence in myself.

I realized that the most impact outcome that I realized now that make my life in general feel easier.

The Challenges of Practicum

The challenge that I faced there was everything was very fresh for me at the beginning such as I am not a strong person sometimes I get sick easily. In the first week, I had diarrhea because my stomach was not accustomed to food there yet.

Another challenge that I faced was Homesickness because I had never been this far from my home before but in the end, everything was alright because I was happy there to be with many good people.

Overall Impression

Filipino people in my eyes were very friendly and fun people. They were also very friendly and entertaining It was fun to be there it helped me to live there easier and they also know a lot about Thailand so it was not hard to connect with them. Learning and experiencing new things helped me to grow more to be a good global citizen.

Suggestions for future improvement

Sea-Teacher should offer some scholarships to help students that smart but do not have money so that there will be more students to join the program.
