Awards and Publications

Recipient of the 2012 Robert Raible Award from North Texas UU Congregation (an award named after The Rev. Robert Jules Raible, minister of First Unitarian Church of Dallas from 1942 until 1964 and presented to ministers in the Dallas/Fort Worth region). North Texas UU Congregations recognized my leadership with that award saying, "Her insightful sermons and leadership have revitalized the Denton congregation, resulting in an 80% increase for the 2012 budget and Sunday morning attendance that will soon require two worship services. Pam has led GLBTQA outreach in Denton and organized an Interfaith Service for the 9/11 10th anniversary. As part of the weekend, DUUF hosted an Exploring Faiths exhibit and a Peacemakers Living Wax Museum."
I was one of six UU leaders invited to share my perspective to questions about prophetic ministry and activism within contemporary Unitarian Universalism. Here is a link to that article from the UU World ("Do you have to be an activist to be a Unitarian Universalist?: Six leaders reflect on activism and religious identity in a racially and politically charged era" Winter 2017)
My writing is included in a UU anthology on transition in congregational life to be published by Skinner House in 2019.

My commitment to Unitarian Universalism is also observed in my affiliations and memberships with:

Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association (UUMA)

Church of the Larger Fellowship

Diverse and Revolutionary UU Multicultural Ministries (DRUUMM) (served the Executive Committee from 2011-2013)

UU Asian/Pacific Islander Caucus (A/PIC)

Spirit Play (certified teacher)

Our Whole Lives (certified teacher for grades K-1 and 4-6)

I have also attended general assemblies, UU institutes, regional conferences, and other UU events and promote stewardship to the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee.

I always love singing in the choir at General Assembly. A colleague snapped this photo of me singing (maybe too emphatically!) during the Service of the Living Tradition.
