Disturbingly high levels of illicit drug use remain a problem among young adults specifically, the students at present. As the physical, social, and psychological “home away from home” for most youth, schools naturally assume a primary role in substance abuse education, prevention, and early identification. With this, the Department of Education strengthens the awareness and preventive measures in the school by implementing Barkada Kontra Droga.
Barkada Kontra Droga is a peer group organized to provide and support school activities that promote awareness and intervention to drug abuse and its related issues. This group also supports the projects of the community and its local government with the same objective. This organization is supported by the students, teachers, school administrators, barangay council, local government unit, private institutions, and other identified stakeholders.
In the school year 2019- 2020, this institution has participated and initiated activities to fully implement Barkada Kontra Droga.

"Barkada Kontra Droga" ikinasa ng SSG

Inilunsad ang programang Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) sa Pamatawan Integrated School (PIS) sa pangunguna ng Supreme Student Government (SSG) para malabanan ag paggamit ng mga mag-aaral ng droga alinsunod sa Republic Act No. 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 noong Set. 3.
Bilang panimulang hakbang ng paaralan batay sa DepEd Memorandum No. 55 s. 2019, Schools Division Memorandum No. 155 s. 2019 ay binuo ang isang samahan sa loob ng paaralan na kasama ang mga opisyales ng SSG sa pangunguna ng pangulo na si Ma. Cey-An Molina, Nissah Corpuz (Pangalawang Pangulo), Irish Armas (Kalihim), Vincci Rovic Israel (Taga-ingat yaman), Daniel Ace Mercado (Tagasuri), mga kinatawan ng baitang 7-10 sina: Akiesha Joyce Perez, Raisa Kaye Abad at Kyla Sirsacon at kanilang tagapayo na si G. Jerome E. Gonzales.
Layunin nito na magturo at magbigay impormasyon ukol sa mga panganib at masamang epekto ng pag-aabuso sa droga. Ang programang ito ay humihikayat hindi lamang sa mga mag-aaral sa loob ng paaralan kundi maging sa Out of the School Youth (OSY).
Itinuring na pangalawang tahanan ng mga mag-aaral ang paaralan kaya naman gustong matiyak ng pamahalaan na ligtas ang eskwelahan sa pamamagitan ng paglulunsad ng mga programang tulad nito.
Ilan sa mga maasahanang aktibdad ay poster making contest, pagsasagawa ng mga seminar, paligsahan sa paglikha ng jingle, awit at campaign. Umaasa ang pamunuan ng paaralan na magiging isang saligan ito upang masugpo ang lumalalalang kaso ng drugs sa bansa.
