In Cub Scouting, you and your family join in on the program with your child, and you will help them along the way. As your child grows in Cub Scouting, your role will change with them, from hands-on involvement to guiding and coaching. Your child’s success in Cub Scouting depends on you!
If you are new to Scouting, we would like to welcome you to Pack 654!
There is a lot of information to absorb, so here is a list of how to get started:
Register your child at My.Scouting.org. It is recommended that each parent/guardian registers so that each receives all pack communications.
Log in to Scoutbook Plus using your My.Scouting.org credentials. Verify that your account is connected to your Scout.
Complete Part A and Part B of the Annual Health and Medical Record for your Scout. Return a physical copy of the form to your Scout's Den Leader.
Complete Part A and Part B of the Annual Health and Medical Record for adult partners of Lion or Tiger Scouts who will participate in Scouting activities.
Fill out the Family Talent Survey and give it to your Scout's Den Leader at your first den or pack meeting.
Head to the Scout Shop and pick up a uniform for your Scout. Our local Scout Shop is in Balboa Park, just behind the San Diego Zoo, at 1207 Upas St.
Check the Scoutbook Plus calendar or contact your Scout's Den Leader to find out when the next den or pack meeting is.
Scan the QR code to join Pack 654 Cub Scouts communication using BAND.
Have fun! Your Scout's Den Leader and the Cubmaster are available if you have any questions.
On the advancement trail, a Cub Scout progresses towards a badge of rank based on their grade. As a Cub Scout advances through the ranks, the requirements get more challenging, to match the new skills and abilities they have learned.
