The Arrow of Light award is the highest honor a Cub Scout can achieve and is a special milestone for fifth graders in scouting. The Arrow of Light program is designed to prepare these young scouts for the next big step into Scouts BSA. It focuses on outdoor skills, personal fitness, citizenship, personal safety, and family values.
When you complete an Adventure, you are awarded a special metal Adventure Pin. You attach your Adventure Pins onto your Adventure Colors or onto your Scout cap.
Most of your Adventures you do will be with your Arrow of Light Den in your den meetings. Pack 654 also has some large group activities that will help you earn some Adventures. Finally, you can complete other Adventures at home with your family.
To earn the Arrow of Light badge of rank:
Complete each of the six required adventures.
Bobcat - Character & Leadership
Outdoor Adventurer - Outdoors
Personal Fitness - Personal Fitness
Citizenship - Citizenship
First Aid - Safety/First Aid
Duty to God - Family & Reverence
In addition to the six required adventures, complete at least two elective adventures of your den’s or family’s choosing.
