Scouts should wear their field uniform to den meetings and pack meetings, unless special permission has been given by the pack leadership. The Cub Scout field uniform has the following parts:
Shirt: The official Lion T-shirt, the official blue (Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos) uniform shirt, or the official tan (Arrow of Light) uniform shirt. All Scouts (excluding Lions) must wear the World Scout Crest emblem, the San Diego-Imperial Council shoulder patch, and the red pack numbers "6", "5", "4" on their shirt.
Pants: Shorts, long pants, skorts, and roll up pants all are in official blue (Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos) or green (Arrow of Light). Lions do not have uniform pants.
Belt: Official navy-blue web belt with metal buckle (Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos) or the green web belt with BSA buckle (Arrow of Light).
Socks: Official Cub Scout socks are available in three lengths: ankle, crew, and knee. Official blue socks with a yellow band are worn by Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelos Scouts. Official green socks are worn by Arrow of Light Scouts. Lions do not have uniform socks.
Hat: Official blue (Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear) or green (Webelos) rank-specific hat with rank emblem. The Arrow of Light Scouts wear the official green cap with the Scouts BSA emblem.
Neckerchief: Official rank-specific triangular neckerchief with rank logo. Official BSA neckerchiefs are the only neckerchiefs that are part of the uniform.
Neckerchief Slide: Official gold-tone metal slide with rank emblem. Cub Scouts may wear handmade neckerchief slides.
Adventure Colors: The Adventure Colors is an optional uniform piece that is worn on the right sleeve to display the Webelos and Arrow of Light Adventure Pins that have been earned. If the Adventure Colors are not used, Webelos and Arrow of Light Adventure Pins may be worn on the official hat.
Loops: Official Cub Scouts blue loops are worn on the shoulders of the shirt of Arrow of Light Scouts.
This Cub Scout field uniform may be unofficially referred to as the "Class A" uniform.
Badges of rank are to be worn underneath the left pocket flap. The first badge earned should be placed in pocket position 1, the second badge earned should be placed in pocket position 2, etc.
For example, a Cub Scout who began the Scouting program by earning the Tiger rank would end up with the Tiger badge in position 1, the Wolf badge in position 2, and the Bear badge in position 3.
Current Cub Scouts who have placed their badges of rank prior to the 2024 updates are not required to change their patch placement on their uniforms.
Pack families may purchase the scout field uniform at the local Scout Shop. Pack 654 will provide Scout adventure belt loops and Webelos adventure pins as well as the neckerchief and rank advancement patch when they are awarded.
Scouts can wear the more casual Cub Scout activity uniform to pack overnight campouts and other special events. The Cub Scout activity uniform has the following parts:

Hat: Official blue (Lion, Tiger, Wolf, Bear) or green (Webelos) rank-specific hat with rank emblem.
The official belt, neckerchief, neckerchief slide, and Webelos colors are not worn with the activity uniform. This Cub Scout activity uniform may be unofficially referred to as the "Class B" uniform.
