The Blue and Gold banquet is the most exciting event on the Cub Scout calendar. It is the birthday celebration of Cub Scouting. The Boy Scouts of America began in 1910 and Cub Scouting began twenty years later. The BLUE AND GOLD gets its name from the Cub Scout colors -- blue and gold. This event is our annual tradition to celebrate the scouts, leaders, and volunteers who make scouting fantastic. Our banquet will also perform the Arrow of Light Ceremony and Boy Scout Bridging Ceremony. It's a celebration of the AOLs' accomplishment in earning the highest award in Cub Scouting, the Arrow of Light. Earning this rank prepares an AOL Scout for Boy Scout. The boy scout troop of their choice will be at the ceremony to welcome them.
We encourage everyone to attend Pack 541’s annual Blue and Gold Dinner.
Younger scouts are welcome to leave early if its getting too late, but the Arrow of Light ceremony is fun for scouts to see, giving them something to look forward to in the next few years as they watch the bridging.
