If you live on Maui you may be able to become a Pacific Primate Sanctuary Volunteer. We always need help in the office, garden and the facility. Students over 13 years old can volunteer with a parent or mentor, and those over 16 years old may be eligible to volunteer independently. Contact the Sanctuary for more information about our volunteer programs.
Check Pacific Primate Sanctuary's "Wish List". See if there is anything on the list that you could help with. If you need us to pick up any donations or goods please call the Sanctuary at 572-8089, or e-mail us at pps@pacificprimate.org
If you have an organic garden, you can donate any of the produce you don't use to the Sanctuary. If you'd like to try gardening, beans, corn and a number of greens are easy to grow. Monkeys love most vegetables and all tropical fruits.
You can get together with your family or class and collect a jar of change. When the jar is full you can donate it to Pacific Primate Sanctuary.
You can hold a neighborhood car or dog wash, bake or plant sale, with the proceeds going to the Sanctuary. Don't forget, monkeys like banana bread too.
You can get together with your friends and set up a lemonade stand.
Use your own imagination and see if you can come up with any ideas for how to help the monkeys at Pacific Primate Sanctuary.
Please don't buy products from companies that use animals for painful testing.
Leaping Bunny has created a list of companies that do NOT test on animals: https://www.leapingbunny.org/shopping-guide
Don't forget to do you best to recycle and reuse the things you can and to reduce the amount of stuff you use.
Learn as much as you can about what is happening to the Earth's rain forests and those who live there.
Demonstrate your respect for the ocean, the air, and the land. Protect, care for and love ALL beings with whom we share the Earth. Remember- every living thing is precious and part of the great Web of Life.
