The PMI block is a standard calibration block used for calibers I will be makeing it out of wood

Creating Bandsaw boxes

The first thing I did was make a design in autocad this is what it looked like.

Then I had to cut and glue my wood into a stack so that I could cut my box into shape.

I then printed my design and glued it to the wood. I then went and cut the wood into the intended shape I wanted

I then sanded my newly cut wood smooth

I then cut the back of my box of to later glue back on and proceded to cut my box in half to take out the middle peace (on the left) which will turn into the drawer.

I then glued the box back together with the back included makeing it one object again.

I did the same with the little drawer cutting the middle out and glueing it back together. I added a drawer handel to easily slide the drawer in and out as well.

I sanded again to make sure everyhting was finnaly very smooth.

This is the current state of the box but I still need to put the "finishing" (sorry) touches on the box

I the proceeded to apply 3 coats of wood finish on the box, sanding bewteen each coat indvidually. This is my final product!
