These silicone teether clips have recently become Isaac's new fav over his Wubbanubs! They are easy to grab, chew on and attach to his clothing or car seat so he doesn't have to go anywhere without it. Be sure to check out the matching Teething Rings and Necklaces. Bruce

Bruce is Emmett's grandfather on his mother's side. Emmett loves his grandpa Bruce and can spend many hours sitting and playing with him. If Emmett is having a bad day, grandpa can always get him to smile. Emmett looks like a baby version of his grandpa. I often joke that grandpa Bruce is Emmett's real twin.

Daniel

Daniel is my husband, best friend, lover and adventure partner. Without him I don't know where I would be. He has been my rock, encourager and has kept me moving forward on some very hard days. He is an amazing father to our two boys. He always takes interest in what is going on with the boys and assists in Emmett's appointments, therapy and home care. He has been a huge supporter of Our Heart Adventure as well.

Diane

Diane is Emmett's grandmother on his mother's side. Grandma rarely comes over empty handed (usually has baking or meals) and usually only leaves after cleaning something at our house. During Emmett's first surgery in California she was given the job of staying with our family while his other grandparents went home. This was completely out of her comfort zone and demonstrated her great love for Emmett.

Emmett

On March 16 we were blessed with two baby boys whom we named Isaac and Emmett. We chose the name Emmett for our heart baby because it means “strong.” After almost losing him at 8 weeks he has proven to us how strong and brave he truly is. Emmett is our miracle baby and the inspiration behind Our Heart Adventure teethers. After all, our heart adventure started because of him.

Graham

Graham is Emmett's Anat Baniel Method (ABM) Practitioner. We started seeing Graham during this past summer as our previous practitioner closed due to COVID. Emmett LOVES Graham and he is so good with Emmett. He can always find a way to engage Emmett and make therapy fun.

Hanley

Dr. Frank Hanley is our Heart hero's hero. He pioneered the "fix" for Emmett's heart condition and was Emmett's surgeon for his second and third heart surgeries at Stanford Children's. He has given our baby, and many other MAPCA babies another shot at life. We will always be forever grateful to Dr. Hanley and his team for using their gifts to improve the lives of children.

Jessica

We met Jessica in the parent lounge while Emmett was on ECMO. She introduced herself because her daughter Neko was in the room next to us in the PCICU at the Stollery. Jessica and I have continued our friendship and she is a huge support to me as we continue on our children's heart journeys together.

Loren

Dr. Loren was Emmett's CVICU doctor for Emmett both times he was fresh out of surgery. He was very knowledgeable, patiently answered our many questions, had a great wit about him and was very good with Emmett. We are so grateful for these doctors who care for our critical babies and make the dreaded recovery period better.

Lucile

After Emmett's first surgery in Edmonton, the surgeons in Canada recommended Emmett travel to Stanford to see the specialist in his condition. At Stanford the hospital is called Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. This is where Emmett's second and third heart surgeries took place.

Neko

We met Neko’s mom, Jessica in the PCICU in Edmonton while Emmett was on ECMO. Unfortunately, Neko also spent several weeks in the hospital recovering from her surgery. However, it allowed us to develop a great, supportive friendship with her family during some really hard times. I was so happy that Emmett and Neko finally got to meet this past summer!

Phil

Phil is Emmett's grandfather on his father's side. As a baby Emmett was quite irritable and hated the car. Grandpa Phil spent many nights in hospital with him and often accompanied Emmett to his appointments. Grandpa also had the opportunity to join in water therapy with Emmett.

Trudy

Trudy is Emmett's grandmother on his father's side. Trudy has spent hours helping out our family and caring for both Emmett and brother Isaac. She has spent many mornings singing and reading with the boys. We know she has a big heart for our boys because she is always willing to drop everything when we need her.

Tucker

Tucker was a brave little tiger who faught hard for 6 weeks before gaining his angel wings. We became friends with Tucker's parents Mark and Megan through the PCICU and Ronald McDonald House. In his memory Tucker's mom carefully designed this ring to symbolize the beautiful things that make her think of Tucker - Sunshine, Tigers, and the color Blue.

Vasey

We were complete strangers that connected one day through Airbnb while we were looking for a place to stay in California. Vasey was an answer to prayer for our family allowing us to spend our entire stay in CA at their beautiful home in Menlo Park. Vasey also took it upon herself to gather some much needed items for the boys such as beds and toys so we didn't have to worry about bringing any of it with us.
