What We Believe

As a member congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, we walk in fellowship with our sister congregations of the Synod. For information of what we believe, and confess see the following links:

We maintain the inerrancy of the Holy Scriptures and confess it was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit,

We confess the Trinitarian God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as articulated by the three ecumenical creeds: The Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasius Creed.

We subscribe to the Book of Concord in its entirety because it is a correct teaching of the doctrines of the Holy Scriptures.

We confess that Jesus’ Body and Blood are truly present in, with and under the bread and wine of the Lord’s Supper, and for that visitors abide by our communion policy which can be found here.

Heeding the words of Jesus, who stated, “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” (Matthew 19:4-6) we confess that God established marriage as the union of one man and one woman. Those desiring to be married at the Lutheran Church of our Savior should review our policy on marriage found here.
