INDUCTION CEREMONY

Celebrating new Members

The Oak Park NHS Chapter inducted 91 new members on November 15th!

We were able to host an in-person ceremony for all of our members and their families!

We were joined by Principal Mat McClenahan and Superintendent Dr. Jeff Davis.

FIRST MEETING OF THE YEAR!!

Over 200 students joined us for our first official NHS meeting of the year!


FOOD DRIVE FOR MANNA

We spent a week in November collecting canned and boxed foods for the Manna Food Bank in Thousand Oaks.

We were able to donate over 900 pounds!

HALLOWEEN EVENT AT THE OAK PARK COMMUNITY CENTER

30 NHS members spent a few hours on Halloween volunteering at a community festival for local families!


NOVEMBER MEETING

COAT DRIVE

We enlisted the help of our members to collect warm clothes, blankets, books, activities, and more to donate to a local charity!

Oak Park NHS was able to provide 2 cars full of donations to help support under-served elderly communities in our area!

THE GREAT RACE

race volunteers 

NHS members gathered on Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning to work as volunteers at the 37th annual Great Race here in Agoura Hills. We helped with course monitoring, registration, and at the finish line.

RELAY FOR LIFE

We worked with the American Cancer Association to host a Relay for Life, with all donations and proceeds going directly to the American Cancer Association!

Students and community members joined us for a night of walking, music, games, food, and personal testimony from a cancer survivor in our area.

We were able to raise over $5,000 with the help of our incredible members, their families, and friends! We can't wait for next year!

VOLUNTEERING AT THE COMMUNITY GARDENS

With an early Saturday morning report time, our members showed up to help construct SIX new garden boxes for the local community garden!

They worked Saturday and Sunday morning and afternoon with the help of the garden organizers and volunteer carpenter to design and construct the boxes!
