Description: ACEing Autism is a volunteer-driven non-profit organization dedicated to helping children with autism grow through the sport of tennis. ACEing Autism is on a mission for children with autism to grow, develop and benefit from social connections and fitness through affordable tennis programming, uniquely serving individual needs while filling a national void for this growing and worthy population.
A session starts off with greeting the kids and warming up with your assigned kid. This kid will be the kid you teach tennis to for the session. After warm ups we start on racket skills such as helping the participant balance a ball on their racket. After we move onto actual shots, such as volleys and forehands. To finish the session we like to end with a fun interactive game. Throughout this volunteers will learn how to interact with their assigned kid and get to know them better along with helping them make tennis a fun experience (no prior tennis experience is needed).
