Make Sure you pick up a waiver for NHS (H-14). The HARD COPY of this form needs to be returned to H-14 the Friday before your scheduled time. Failure to complete this step will result in your hours not being counted.

There will be three events to get your hours (fill out both the NHS and Surfrider Foundation Form for each event)
Ormond Beach and Wetlands Cleanup
Description:
Join us at Ormond Beach and Wetlands to clean trash in and around Ormond beach, lagoon and wetlands. Ormond Beach and Wetlands are heavily polluted with plastics, trash, metals, clothing and several types of trash. We want to remove and properly dispose of as much trash as possible.
Time:
9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Port Hueneme Dune Restoration
Description:
Support Surfrider Foundation’s Climate Action Program & restore 2.5 acres of coastal dune habitat. Install fencing and signs, remove invasive plant species, and plant native seeds. Be part of a team restoring habitat, protecting the coast, and learn about the coastal dune ecosystem!

9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Monthly Ocean Friendly Garden Workday
Description:
Join us for an Ocean Friendly Garden (OFG) workday to learn about the volunteer-run program and how landscapes and hardscapes can prevent water pollution. OFGs aim to restore the helpful functions of watersheds like protecting local water supplies and preventing pollution from reaching the ocean. Upon arrival, you will be equipped to create and maintain a garden that supports clean water in local waterways and beaches!

9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m.

You can sign up for one or multiple cleanups of the same event by utilizing the checklist feature.
Your attendance will be recorded with a picture and submission of this form, preferably in front of the Surfrider Foundation blue canopy tent or orange vest. (This picture will not be shared anywhere).
Your hours will be verified by a Surfrider Foundation volunteer hours form. Be sure to ask a coordinator upon finishing the event.
