SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE (SHP) - BED DELIVERIES AND MORE
Did you know, approximately 7,000 children sleep on the floor in our community? Would you help SHP build and deliver beds to them? Sleep In Heavenly Peace is a 501(c)3 charity. They are the Ventura County East Chapter of this nationwide organization. Their mission statement is "No Kid Sleeps On The Floor In Our Town"! They periodically have "bed builds" where they construct twin sized beds from raw lumber into beds. Through an application and vetting process, they deliver to children in our area who sleep on the floor. When making a delivery, they not only bring a bed but deliver a new mattress, mattress cover, linens, pillow, comforter and sham. The bed is ready for a good night's sleep before they leave. No experience necessary, just a willing heart to make a difference in a child's life. To learn more, check out their website SHPBEDS.ORG. Sign up today to volunteer, Contact them - Sleep in Heavenly Peace.
