Asylum in Norway

To apply for an asylum in Norway you first need to be in Norway or at the Norwegian border. The only exceptions are resettlement/quota refugee. You have to tell the truth to the norwegian authorities, failing to do so is punished by the law.

To apply for protection, you have to go to the police, where you will be sendt to an arrival centre. You will then have a conversation with the police, to register your application. Later the UDI will interview you about why you're applying for asylum/protection. You have a right to have an interpreter with you when you're getting registered and interviewed.
