Cabin Crew conduct should reflect credit upon AlMasria Universal Airlines. Crew members are to comply with the rules and regulations of the airline, as well as the established departmental policies.
AlMasria has the right to dismiss or discharge a crew member or an employee at any time for any act or conduct which affects the airline's and the country's image or endangers safety.
Do not make false or slanderous statements about the airline, its employees or patrons.
Gambling of any kind is not permitted during night stops or while at layover stations.
Be courteous and helpful to our patrons, passengers and visitors.
Threatening, intimidating or otherwise interfering with other employees at any time is prohibited. This includes off duty periods.
Dishonesty of any kind such as theft or pilferage of airline property, hotel property, or other properties entrusted to the airline, or misrepresentation in obtaining benefits of other employees privileges whether committed on duty or off duty will be grounds for dismissal.
Operating an aircraft in a careless, reckless manner so as to endanger the life or property of another is prohibited.
Carriage of narcotic drugs, hashish, and depressant or stimulant drugs or substances is prohibited.
Transportation of hard currency as well as Egyptian Pounds outside the country is prohibited unless authorized by State Laws.
Familiarize yourself with customs, immigration and currency regulations of other countries and avoid any violation. Many countries impose criminal penalties to both the employee and the airline for smuggling violations. Any time a crew member is suspected of smuggling or has broken a regulation, he will be suspended from AlMasria Universal Airlines pending an investigation and if proven guilty, he will be disciplined or terminated.
Compliance with all assignment schedules is mandatory; this includes meetings, training, etc.
Unauthorized absence from work-station when on duty is prohibited.
Crew Members must have their ID Cards properly and visibly displayed at all times when inside Airport Terminals, Training Centers, Dispatch, the Flight Operations Department or any other restricted areas.
Crew members must not board an aircraft of other carriers unless authorized.
Off duty crew members must not board AlMasria Universal Airlines aircraft for any reason unless traveling as passengers or once they are officially assigned to do so.
When meeting inbound, cockpit crew must wait until passengers and crews have deplaned the aircraft, exclusion to this is when crew change is taking place with passengers on board.
Deadheading crew travel is restricted to crew members on duty. Reporting time of the deadheading crew is the same as the reporting time of the operating crew, and shall proceed to the aircraft with the operating crew.
While traveling in uniform, Deadheading crew shall occupy the back seats of the applicable zone and give priority to passengers.
Pay your just debts, i.e. hotel charges and phone calls.
Smoking is not allowed in the flight deck, or the cabin. Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas inside terminals.
When outside base on a flight, always use the transport provided by the airline, unless an emergency arises, then a report should be submitted.
Crew members are required to comply with Egyptian Civil Aviation Regulations, concerning the change of originally submitted documents (i.e. date of birth, reports, etc.).
Each crew member must be aware that he is a representative of AlMasria Universal Airlines and that people will identify his appearance with it. The image of an airline depends largely on the behavior of every employee.
Discussions on Company confidential subjects must not be held in public or with other crews or other crew members on duty, nor should negative statements be made about the Company.
Locations shall not be visited if the possibility exists of creating a wrong impression, which may be detrimental to the reputation and image of the Company. This rule equally applies to crew members not in uniform, and especially during night stops. All crew members should ensure that they and their colleagues always comply with the above regulations.
When in uniform, it is the responsibility of each individual to appear and behave in a dignified and civilized manner. Purser of each flight is directly responsible for ensuring that all cabin crew members present a good/uniform image as they will be responsible in case any discrepancies are reported or found not corrected.
The herein after rules are set in the best interest of the company and cabin crew members shall respect and comply with the same.
The exact date of changing the uniform from winter to summer or vice versa will be issued in a form of a circular by the Department.
The impression made by the cabin crew members to the public is of the utmost importance to the Company.
Any individual in uniform, while on or off duty, who in any way reflects discredit upon the Company by his/her behavior will be subject to disciplinary action.
When moving through Airport and public areas, full uniform must be worn at all times, jackets fully buttoned.
Sunglasses are to be of a simple design and not to be worn during Briefing Sessions, on board the aircraft or whilst walking in the airport terminal.
Eye glasses for medical treatment may be worn in flight.
Cabin crew with medical eyeglasses requirement on their medical certificate must carry a spare spectacle in their small suitcase.
Contact lenses may be worn provided that they are not of any fancy colour.
Chewing gum is not permitted while in uniform in view of the public. Cabin crew member is not permitted to smoke except when seated in a smoking area of a Restaurant or Cafeteria.
Consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden when in uniform.
Smoking, eating or consumption of hot/cold beverages is not permitted during Briefing Sessions.
Operating cabin crew members are not allowed to occupy passenger seats for take-off, landing and in flight.
Air hostess shall wear decent clothes while visiting AlMasria Offices as well as during layovers.
Shopping is restricted to hotel and airport shops.
Eating or drinking in public is not permitted except in coffee shop or restaurant of Crew Layover hotel or airport.
During flight-eating & drinking must be done in the galley area only.
Entering a bar is prohibited.
Alcohol must not be consumed.
Chewing gum is prohibited.
SMOKING is prohibited.
USE of mobile phones or any entertainment gadgets are not permitted.
Uniform must NOT be worn after duty and in layover stations
Cabin Crew must use Business or very smart casual attire
Herein after attires are prohibited during Deadheading, traveling, Days Off and Visiting AlMasria premises
Shorts
Short skirts
Low cut tops and blouses (females)
Off-shoulder tops/ dresses or outfits that show the midriff
Thin strapped, spaghetti strap tops/dresses
See through or otherwise revealing clothing
Tight trousers / cargo pants / track suit
Tight skirts
Leggings
tank tops, camisoles and sleeveless tops.
At all out stations cockpit crew should respect the law of the land and hotel regulations, and wear the proper attire.
All crew members are obliged to handle all company material with great care. The company may claim compensation from a crew member for damage caused by him. Crew members shall maintain the manuals, handbooks and other documents handed over to them in good condition.
When the employment contract terminates everything belonging to the company must be returned.
Crew members are strictly not allowed to take any articles, such as small gifts, (e.g. toys), catering items, parts of cabin or galley equipment, from the aircraft.
All crew members have to pass through local customs, immigration, currency control, etc. as prescribed. Every person must comply with the local customs and other special immigration regulations, which may often be more restrictive for crew members than for passengers.
Crew members must declare all goods liable for duty and are responsible for duty charges. The same policy applies to restrictions on import or export of currencies.
Violation of Customs or Currency Regulations
It must be clearly understood that non-compliance with the customs regulations and other official controls is a very serious offence against Company regulations and the laws and regulations of any country.
Anybody caught smuggling or willfully breaking currency or other regulations can expect immediate dismissal from the Company as well as heavy fines or even imprisonment.
