My role as an agile coach is to support the teams or individuals I work with in achieving their goals and enhancing their agility. I adapt my approach to the situation and the needs of the client by using different stances. These include the coaching stance, where I listen and inquire to facilitate their self-discovery; the teaching stance, where I impart relevant knowledge and skills to enable their learning and application; the mentoring stance, where I provide guidance and feedback based on my experience and expertise; the facilitating stance, where I assist them in collaborating and communicating effectively; and the consulting stance, where I offer solutions and suggestions based on my analysis and evaluation. I select and transition between these stances with awareness and intention, and I always honor the autonomy and choices of the client.Â
