Our Neighborhood is 100 years old!
Wildwood Park was established in June 1922 as an addition to the City of Olympia by J.T and Marie J. Otis. The original plat marked out 48 lots, mostly one acre in size. The first lot sold was at the corner of O’Farrell and Galloway to Ransom A. Padget, who served as the real estate agent for the Wildwood Park. By 1932, the City Directory listed 48 residences on Wildwood Park’s five streets with 24 residences on O’Farrell Avenue.

Our neighborhood has several historic homes including the Egbert-Ingham house at 2708 Adams, the Neuffer House at 511 O’Farrell, the Wildwood Center building, and several homes on Hillside Drive built by Trene Belsito Worthington, all based on the same house plan from an award-winning design in Architectural Digest.

The Wildwood Neighborhood Association (WNA) was formed in 1989 to address immediate and long range interests of the neighborhood and was sparked by neighbor opposition to rezoning the Henderson Park property to allow a gas station/deli mart. WNA has continued to represent neighborhood interests related to the property and, more generally, to the city and decision makers. This is just one activity of WNA, whose purpose is:
