The purpose of the association is to preserve and improve the environment of the neighborhood, promote neighborhood safety and security, foster social ties, work in conjunction with other neighborhoods, and promote a better neighborhood and community through group action.
The association is led by a seven-member volunteer board. We are not a homeowners association. Anyone who lives in the Wildwood Neighborhood can belong and participation is voluntary. However, we do collect $5 a year -- $10 for a household -- from residents who wish to belong to the association.
The money we collect is put back into the neighborhood. Recent expenditures include supporting neighborhood events such as the National Night Out potluck/barbecue and the 4th of July kids parade and printing and distributing a quarterly newsletter. If you are new to the neighborhood, welcome! If you would like to welcome a new neighbor, please be sure to let them know about the neighborhood association; you can always print and share the brochure.
If you would like to become a volunteer in the neighborhood or a board member, please join us at our quarterly meetings or email us at olywna@gmail.com.
