OLFANA — CHILD SAFETY STANDARDS
Last updated: 18 September 2026
PURPOSE, SCOPE AND MINIMUM AGE
These Standards explain how Velanta (Private) Limited (“Olfana”, “we”, “us” or “our”) addresses child sexual abuse and exploitation on Olfana.
They apply to every member, Brand Page representative and other person using Olfana.
They also apply to all:
• Profiles
• Reviews
• Posts
• Comments and replies
• Lists
• Layering combinations
• Wear activity
• Images
• Brand Pages
• Catalogue submissions
• Links
• Other material submitted through Olfana
Olfana accounts are intended for people aged 16 or older, subject to any higher age or additional consent required by local law.
This minimum account age does not limit these Child Safety Standards. For the purposes of these Standards, a child or minor means a person under 18 unless applicable law provides greater protection.
If a person’s age is uncertain, report the concern instead of attempting to investigate the person yourself.
These Standards supplement Olfana’s Terms of Use, Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy.
ZERO TOLERANCE FOR CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE AND EXPLOITATION
Olfana has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation, referred to as CSAE, and child sexual abuse material, referred to as CSAM.
CSAM includes any visual depiction, including a photograph, video, illustration or computer-generated image, of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct or presented for sexual abuse or exploitation.
No person may use Olfana to:
• Create CSAM
• Upload CSAM
• Possess CSAM through the service
• Request CSAM
• Share CSAM
• Link to CSAM
• Sell CSAM
• Promote CSAM
• Arrange CSAM
• Facilitate access to CSAM
Any conduct that sexually abuses, exploits or endangers a child is also prohibited.
Claiming that material is fictional, edited, synthetically generated or a joke does not make prohibited material acceptable.
PROHIBITED CONDUCT INVOLVING MINORS
The following conduct is prohibited, whether it occurs publicly, through an Olfana feature, through a Brand Page or by using Olfana to direct someone elsewhere:
• Grooming a child for sexual activity, exploitation or abuse
• Sexual solicitation of a child
• Directing sexual comments at a child
• Requesting, offering or exchanging sexual images or acts involving a child
• Sextortion, blackmail or threats involving a child’s intimate material
• Trafficking or recruiting a child
• Advertising or paying for commercial sexual exploitation involving a child
• Sexualising a child, including making sexual comments about otherwise innocent family or profile images
• Exposing a child to pornography or adult sexual activity
• Identifying or locating a child for harmful purposes
• Threatening, coercing or otherwise endangering a child
• Helping another person conceal, distribute or evade enforcement relating to any of the conduct above
Do not download, save, copy, forward or attach suspected CSAM in order to submit a report.
Report the location and relevant context without redistributing the material.
REPORTING INSIDE OLFANA
A verified, signed-in member can use the Report control available for supported content, including:
• Member profiles
• Brand Pages
• Reviews
• Comments
• Posts
• Lists
• Layering combinations
• Wear content
Select the closest available report reason. Normally, Offensive or Other can be used for a child-safety concern.
Use the optional details field to state clearly that the report concerns child safety.
Do not include unnecessary personal information or reproduce prohibited material.
An in-app report is submitted to Olfana’s private moderation queue.
The reported person cannot read the report.
The reporting member cannot read, edit or withdraw the report after submission and does not receive access to confidential moderation notes or another person’s account information.
Duplicate reports of the same target from the same member may be refused because the original report remains on record.
Use the child-safety email provided in Section 6 when:
• The in-app reporting control is unavailable
• The reporter is a guest
• The reporter cannot use a verified account
• The concern does not relate to a supported report target
BLOCKING AND IMMEDIATE PROTECTIVE STEPS
A signed-in member can block another member from that member’s profile and manage blocked members in Settings.
Blocking removes follow relationships in both directions and filters the blocked member from supported feeds, search and social surfaces.
A Brand Page is reported rather than blocked as an individual person.
Blocking is a personal safety and visibility tool. It is not an emergency response or a complete security boundary.
Blocking cannot guarantee that another person will never:
• See public material
• Create another account
• Contact someone outside Olfana
Protect your safety, stop responding, secure your account credentials and use appropriate device, platform or local-authority tools.
CHILD-SAFETY CONTACT AND EMERGENCIES
Olfana’s designated child-safety contact is:
olfanasupport@gmail.com
Use a clear email subject, such as:
Child safety concern
Include, where available:
• The Olfana username
• The Brand Page name
• The location of the relevant content
• A concise, factual description
• The approximate date and time
• A safe way to contact you
Do not send:
• Passwords
• Identity documents
• Unnecessary private information
• A copy of suspected CSAM
If a child is in immediate danger, may be missing, or faces current abuse, exploitation or trafficking, immediately contact local emergency services, law enforcement or the appropriate child-protection authority.
Olfana is not an emergency service.
An Olfana report or email is not a substitute for urgent professional assistance.
REVIEW AND ENFORCEMENT
Olfana assesses reports using factors including:
• Available content
• Context
• Severity
• Credibility
• Repetition
• Available safety risks
Depending on the facts and applicable law, action may include:
• Hiding content from public view or removing it
• Rejecting catalogue or Brand Page material
• Restricting access to posting or management features
• Removing a Brand Page manager
• Suspending or closing a Brand Page
• Restricting or terminating an account through authorised administrative action
• Preserving relevant evidence
• Reporting the matter to a competent authority where legally required
Serious apparent child-safety violations may be acted upon without prior notice.
Actions are not necessarily disclosed to the reporter or the reported person.
Olfana does not promise a particular outcome or response time.
EVIDENCE PRESERVATION AND COMPETENT AUTHORITIES
In-app reports are immutable evidence records. Members cannot edit or delete them.
Moderation decisions are recorded separately.
Content hidden through the moderation process may remain privately preserved instead of being physically deleted immediately so that the following can be addressed:
• Review of a decision
• Legal obligations
• Appeals
• Safety and evidence requirements
Olfana may retain relevant account identifiers, report details, moderation records and content for as long as reasonably necessary for:
• Safety
• Security
• Legal compliance
• Disputes
• Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims
The Privacy Policy explains Olfana’s retention practices in greater detail.
Preservation does not mean that the content remains publicly visible.
When Olfana obtains actual knowledge of CSAM, it will take appropriate action under these Standards and applicable law.
This may include:
• Removing the material
• Disabling access to the material
• Reporting to the competent national or regional authority
• Reporting confirmed material to an appropriate reporting body where legally required
Olfana may cooperate with a valid request from a competent authority.
These statements do not claim that Olfana has a direct or automated reporting integration with any particular organisation.
GOOD-FAITH REPORTS, FALSE REPORTS AND RETALIATION
Report suspected harm in good faith even when you do not have complete evidence.
A concern that cannot later be confirmed is not, by itself, a false report.
Olfana prohibits retaliation against a person who raises a genuine child-safety concern or cooperates with a lawful investigation.
Reports that are knowingly:
• False
• Fabricated
• Malicious
• Coordinated
• Retaliatory
are prohibited and may themselves result in enforcement action.
This rule is not intended to discourage honest reports, reasonable mistakes or urgent requests for assistance.
Do not confront a suspected offender, conduct your own investigation or place a child at further risk in order to collect evidence.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND PRIVACY LIMITS
Olfana restricts report and moderation information to authorised processes.
Reports are not readable through the member application.
We seek to protect the privacy of children, reporters and affected people, but we cannot promise absolute confidentiality or anonymity.
Information may be shared where reasonably necessary to:
• Investigate or enforce these Standards
• Protect a child or another person
• Operate necessary service providers
• Comply with applicable law
• Respond to a valid legal request
• Make a legally required report
The reporter may not receive the complete outcome if doing so would:
• Reveal another person’s private information
• Compromise safety
• Interfere with an investigation
OPERATIONAL LIMITS
Olfana’s current safety process consists of:
• In-app reporting and moderation
• Member blocking
• Authorised administrative controls
• The published support email
Olfana does not claim to have:
• Automated CSAM detection
• Continuous 24-hour moderation
• A guaranteed response deadline
• A dedicated child-safety department
• Direct reporting integration with a particular external organisation
These operational limitations do not reduce the prohibitions contained in these Standards or Olfana’s obligation to respond appropriately after receiving actual knowledge of prohibited material.
UPDATES, OPERATOR AND CONTACT INFORMATION
Olfana may update these Standards when the service, risks, law or platform requirements change.
The revised document will display a new update date.
Material changes will be communicated reasonably, including through the application where appropriate.
The current published version applies from its stated date.
