Will I receive a donation receipt for my donation?
The City of Waterloo will issue a donation receipt for any donation $20 or greater if the donor provides their name and address. Why does my receipt from GoFundMe state donation will be received by Melissa Davis-Capka?
The City of Waterloo has requested the GoFundMe account to be set up in this manner. All funds from GoFundMe less the processing fees will be transferred to the City of Waterloo. Should you have any questions regarding this, please contact the City of Waterloo project lead, Daniel Waters at daniel.waters@waterloo.ca.
Can we contribute to the playground design?
Yes! The City will be soliciting feedback from all community members through the Engage Waterloo platform. Suggestions regarding play elements, styles, and priorities will be very welcome. Feedback will be collated and forwarded to the playground designers. For more information, go to our community engagement page.
How will the final playground design be chosen?
All interested playground manufacturers will have the opportunity to propose a design based on the specifications given from the City (play elements, preferred style, and available funds). Once proposals are received, the City will grade the designs based on safety, quality, and creative potential. The top two proposal will be posted publicly and our community will be invited to choose the final playground design!
