The City of Waterloo is conducting a two-phase public engagement consultation to ensure the playground equipment meets the needs of the neighbourhood, and will be enjoyed for many years.
Community Engagement Phase 1: Consultation Phase Jan. 11 - Feb. 22, 2021
The City of Waterloo is conducting a community engagement survey in the Beechwood community to determine what design elements the community would like to include in the new Old Post playground and park. The short survey will help city project managers provide design criteria to playground designers. City project managers will gather feedback from the questionnaire to create a list of preferred play elements, play types, and accessibility needs. Please go to EngageWaterloo for information and to answer the brief questionnaire to describe elements you and your family feel should be included in the playground.

Community Engagement Phase 2: Design Phase April 2021
The second phase of engagement allows residents to select their preferred design from two shortlisted designs generated using community feedback from Phase #1 consultation. The community’s preferred design will be installed at the playground site. Please be sure to subscribe to the EngageWaterloo project to receive a reminder to vote when we publish the designs.
