Student Activity:

• Find definitions and examples of primary, secondary and tertiary sectors

• Look at your home country. find data on the size of each sector in terms of % of output/GDP and in terms of employment. Within these sectors what are the biggest firms and what do they do.

• How have these sectors changed over the last 100 years or so. Has the secondary sector got bigger or smaller? What do you think are the causes of these changes?
