Executive Director Marina Milton earned an MBA at Harvard Business School before joining the OAP as a volunteer in 1995. In her childhood, Marina enjoyed swimming, sailing, and accompanying her father on commercial fishing trips off the coast of Rhode Island. These experiences instilled a deep love of the ocean in Marina and she has worked tirelessly to help protect ocean habitats throughout her career as the Ocean Action Project’s Executive Director.
Michelle Yim and the Education team work to advance the OAP’s status as a thought leader in oceanographic research and restoration. Her team contributes educational materials to communities around the country and trains local leaders in sustainability and other topics.
Anderson Navarro is a former attorney and environmental activist who works to create change on the local, state, and national level to protect vulnerable marine life and ecosystems. With the efforts of the Advocacy team, Anderson develops and advances new legislation beneficial to communities, industries, and the environment.
Networking Director Tim O’Neil coordinates efforts to expand the OAP’s reach into new communities by developing partnerships with local leaders and other non-profits. Tim brings years of experience in business development to his work with a talented team.
Peter Topaldo works with his talented and dedicated Volunteer team to lead beach cleanup efforts and coordinate restoration activities. Peter’s previous career in environmental engineering contributes valuable knowledge and experience to our various restoration initiatives.
