Networking is a great way to bring communities of all sizes together: the cornerstone of the Ocean Action Project’s work. When people work together at the local, state, and national level, no challenge is too great to meet. The OAP works to connect people in communities around the country and supports and develops their efforts to protect our waters. We also maintain a broad network of other non-profits as well as scientists, industry professionals, and governmental leaders to help us achieve our goals. The OAP’s networking efforts help our cause by:
Bringing local communities together to organize for change in their area
Utilizing the strengths of other non-profits to work together to advance policy
Working with scientists, scholars, and researchers to understand the problems facing our oceans and to advance solutions
Setting up OAP branches in cities across the country
