We are the Knoxville branch of the Je Tsongkhapa Kadampa Buddhist Meditation Center, based in Asheville, NC. We meet every Tuesday night from 7:15 - 8:30 pm Our classes focus on Buddhist wisdom, meditation, and applying these teachings to daily life. Each meeting includes practical meditation, a talk on how to reduce stress and other problems encountered in daily life and how to increase mental and physical well-being based on Buddha's teachings, and time for discussion, Q & A. Although the meditations and talks are based on Kadampa Buddhist philosophy, you don't need to be a Buddhist to enjoy this group or benefit from our meditations. Kadampa Buddhism stresses a spiritual path of individual transformation and to look within ourselves for the inner peace and happiness we seek. Everyone is welcome!
Classes are $12 per person.
No one turned away for lack of funds.
