Registrations are in term 1. The season starts in term 2 and continues into Term 3.
Each team has a practice during the week, with practice days/times coordinated once teams are finalised.
ALL GAMES ARE AT HOBSON STREET TURF IN NEW PLYMOUTH and there are no games during Kings Birthday weekend.

We require registration of interest in order to register teams in correct grades.
No payment will be necessary until after the first step (registering team interest).

Fees (Approx) for entire season per player: Year 3-4 $75, Year 5-6 $85, Year 7-8 $100
NOTE: Years 0-2 “Fun Sticks” play on Saturday mornings 8 - 9 am, 3rd May to 21st June 2025.
The costs for Fun Sticks are $40/participant. Register directly on website www.taranakihockey.org.nz
Mini Sticks teams play 6-a-side hockey on a quarter field for 40 minutes.
Games are played in terms 2 & 3 on a Saturday morning at the New Plymouth turf on Hobson Street.
Kiwi Sticks teams play 6-a-side hockey on a quarter or half field for 40 minutes (field size depends on development stage).
Games are played in terms 2 & 3 on a Saturday morning at the New Plymouth turf on Hobson Street.
Kwik Sticks Hockey teams play 7-a-side hockey on a full field with 25 minute halves.
Games are played in terms 2 & 3 on Monday and/or Friday evenings at the New Plymouth turf on Hobson Street.
Small Sticks Coaching Courses
Taranaki Hockey will be hosting a Small Sticks coaching course for all beginner coaches of Primary and Intermediate school children on Tuesday 26th March & Tuesday 2nd April, 6:15-7:15pm at Fookes Pavillion on Hobson Street (near NP Turf).
