To organize a safari you have to know how many days you want to stay, how many and what kind of animals and nature you want to focus on. In a park like the Ngorongoro crater the animal concentration is very large so it is easy to see a lot of different animals in a short amount of time. In contrast to Ngorongoro there is the Serengti where surprises and large heards of buffalo, wilderbeest, zebra and antilopes are what you are looking for. Serengeti is fun if you have at least 2 days. Time to watch nature pass by without stress. Suddenly you will be rewarded with ostrich, cheeta, large groups of lions and if you are in the right season: millions of wilderbeest.
If you're budget or time is very small you want to cut down the entrance fee and visit only one park probably Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara or Arusha National Park.
If you have 2 or 3 days you have to decide whether you want to visit 2 or three of the smaller parks, like Lake Manyara or Tarangire or spend the enitre time in the Serengeti.
