Vouchers are given to folks with no insurance or with private insurance. Vouchers are used as a secondary payment. The victim/survivor's private insurance will be billed first.
Vouchers cover the cost of the forensic exam and medications in the ER.
Vouchers do not cover in-patient services or surgery related to the assault. Please refer victim/survivor to the Northwest CASA office closest to them where an Advocate can discuss Crime Victims Compensation and go over seeking reimbursement for these expenses.
Vouchers will not be issued to folks with Medicaid or Medicare. The cost of the visit will be covered by those programs.
Follow-up Care Must be Performed by:

Health Care Professional
Laboratory
Pharmacy
Services include (but are not limited to):
Physical Exam
Laboratory tests to determine presence or absence of STIs
Appropriate medications, including HIV prophylaxis
Healthcare providers are not required to accept voucher, always suggest discussing voucher with health provider prior to visist.
Ask nurse for multiple copies of voucher for victim/survivor.
