COVID-19 Information

• Galena Park I.S.D. continues to follow the guidance and recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Harris County Public Health Department and Harris County Office of Emergency Management concerning the recent news of the coronavirus disease. Please note, the District is aggressively practicing social distancing and ask our school community to do the same.

• At Cloverleaf Elementary, student health and safety is our main focus. We advise all to self monitor for the following symptoms:

  • • Fever of 100.0 of higher

    • Diarrhea

    • New Cough

    • New trouble breathing, shortness of breath or wheezing

    • New chills

    • New muscle aches or sore throat

    • New loss of smell

    • New loss of taste or change in taste

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms above please do not send your child to school! Contact a school administrator/school nurse immediately!

A Covid-19 reporting line is open for student reporting at (832) 386-1091 for:

Lab confirmed Covid-19 test

Experiencing Covid-19 symptoms

Have experienced close contact with an individual who is lab confirmed with Covid-19.

Helpful Tips

Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds, several times a day. Use soap and water or a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol:

• Before and after eating

• After using the bathroom

• After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing

Wear a face mask while in a Galena Park ISD building. Students 1st-12th grade are required to wear a face covering during school hours.

Please practice “social distancing” by standing 6-feet away from other people, especially if they're coughing or sneezing. Avoid gatherings of more than 10 people.

DO NOT touch your eyes, nose, and mouth. Touching your face can help germ causing viruses enter your body.

DO NOT bring a sick student onto the campus.

DO NOT forget to utilize the student reporting line.
