This section is Hidayah's own personal experience and reflections as a Research Assistant in CTL IIUM. Her main role is as a graphic designer alongside assisting in the departments' works.
As a part of the publicity and promotion volunteer, I was tasked to produce two video montage for this big event held. I would like to express my gratitude to those who volunteered in contributing and be part in the process of making these promotional videos. I was satisfied with the outcome despite all the time constraints and along the way I learned and discovered new skills in the process of video editing using Adobe Premier pro and also Keynote.
This video was done as a collective effort along with the diversity students of IIUM. Thank you for those who took part and be willing to be featured in the process of making this opening video montage.
As part of the International University Carnival on E-Learning (IUCEL) 2018 Committee, I was tasked to design the official logo for the upcoming event that will take place in August 2018.
After drafting relevant elements that is associated to the theme of the event, the steering committee has agreed to have the finalised logo as the official logo for IUCEL 2018.
The elements that were embedded in the logo is derived based on the e-learning framework, alongside humanising technology.
I was also tasked to create a Video Montage to promote on the upcoming event. Do come and join for those who are eligible, see you there!
My role is to produce a poster to promote the event
CTL has invited one of the pioneers to e-learning, Dr. Badrul Huda Khan to come and give his talk and conducted a workshop on a meaningful e-learning in higher education.
Our team managed to set up a booth as to promote MyE-Portfolio amongst IIUM community in support of the national initiatives from the Ministry of Education.
Compilations of individual e-portfolio that was produced by IIUM undergraduate students were displayed on screen to provide insights to the audience of what MyE-Portfolio is and what it's potential benefit it may bring for the students in their future.
We had also set up a green screen in our booth for the audience who comes by to shoot short clips of their Video Resumes as part of the artefacts for their e-portfolio.
The feedbacks and support from the audience was overwhelming as students find this as a good platform to sell themselves in this open market for the industry. I was glad to be able to get involved and share insights to the IIUM community to help develop stepping stones for them in the near future.

MyE-Porfolio Video Montage
I had the opportunity as a Research Assistant from Centre for Teaching and Learning in IIUM (CTL) to get involved in supporting the Ministry of Higher Education in an effort to launch the national initiative of MyE-Portfolio.
Me and my colleague, Fairuz Syafiqah (+Fai Zey) had given the chance to work on producing a video montage for the launching of My-EPortoflio that took place in October 2017 at UPM, Serdang.
We were pretty excited when the Ministry of Higher Education himself (Dato' Seri Idris Jusoh) had requested to replay the video twice on stage during the launch. It was overwhelming for the both of us because despite the time constraints, and limited tools and resources, we gave it our best and the results was satisfying.
