After having to complete my degree, I challenged myself to apply for a job as an intern at Nestle Sdn. Bhd. company in which my father had previously worked in.
Being still young and 'unripe' I wanted to discover my own potential to what I am capable of doing without myself even realising it.
I've always wanted to know how it felt like working in a corporate environment. I'm always curious to learn how the company had developed my father's way of work, of handling things in which I look up to.
The last day as an intern, the returning of Staff Access Card.
Presenting the weekly/monthly operational review during NCE Pre-Gate Assessment.
Despite being an intern, I was never just an intern. I was treated the same way as the other employees to get involved and participate in the company meetings and events.
One of the highlights throughout my journey in the recruitment team was to be able to present the team's weekly/monthly operational review to the NCE Assessors during the Nestlé's Continuous Excellence (NCE) Pre-Gate Assessment. It was a big take for me to be able to speak in front of prestigious panels and I patted my self on the shoulder for this as I received complimentary comments for my bravery despite being an amateur.
What I enjoyed most during my time here is that I get to meet lots of different unique people from different backgrounds and how they deliver their work. Being in a corporate world needs a strong team who is always dedicated to ensure their colleagues performance and well beings are always at par and be taken care of.
I learnt that coaching is important so that one may learn from the other. Even the littlest mistakes done by an individual should be admonished for further improvements. Recognition is also important in order to appreciate and give credit for the employers to keep retain their motivation to work. I also learnt that all sorts of management be it time management is crucial in any organisations.
Even if it was for a short period of time. I learned a lot from observations. I was glad I was part of this experience.
With the whole bunch of Human Resource team. (spot me!)
