Starting Your Campaign

Starting a campaign is not as simple as just deciding to run. There are several key steps to launching an effective campaign. Campaigns require a significant amount of formal filing information with your local or state elections office. No one can run on their own; you will need to build a campaign team to help with your race. Getting the word out is hard. It takes a lot of media, including social media, newspaper coverage, and marketing, to reach voters. As a result, campaigns can be expensive, and you will need to think about fundraising to support your efforts. Lastly, launching your campaign needs to be strategic, splashy and well timed. There is a lot that goes into just getting started!
