Banned Book Bingo

This will be a fun and learning experience and an interactive way to engage the Mira Costa's students about banned books. This event will be held at Mira Costa College's Oceanside campus 

This will be a closed event.

Movie Night

Join us at the Oceanside, CA Main Library for Movie Night! The library will be showing "The Hate You Give" a film adaptation of the critically acclaimed and currently banned book written by Angie Thomas. The film will be introduced by Dr. Bruce Hoskins, Professor of Sociology at Mira Costa College. A discussion at the conclusion of the film will also be lead by Dr. Hoskins.

Banned Book-Book Club

Join us for our Banned Book Week-Online Book Club! Our book for the event will be, "This Is Your Time," written by civil right activist and icon Ruby Bridges.  The evening will be facilitated by Michelle Hafford. The book club will begin at 7:00 pm online.
