I am excited to conclude my Graduate Certificate in Educational Technology with ELRC 7505: Design and Development of Multimedia Learning. This intensive, five-week asynchronous course explores both the conceptual understanding and practical skills required to design highly effective digital learning environments.
The key learning objectives for this course include:
Engaging with core multimedia learning principles outlined by Clark and Mayer (2016) and the Cambridge Handbook of Multimedia Learning (2022).
Applying evidence-based principles to the design and analysis of multimedia learning artifacts.
Critically reflecting on design choices made by humans and AI tools alike.
Cultivating the judgment to recognize when AI misapplies multimedia principles and learning to use it thoughtfully as a collaborator.
This portfolio will house all of my assignments and reflections from the course, showcasing my growing expertise in analyzing and creating meaningful multimedia learning experiences.
