Since 2015, I’ve had the honor of being a volunteer for the Newport Pagnell Christmas Lights. Over the years, I’ve taken on many different roles, but my main position is as the Secretary on the Committee. In this role, I help coordinate the event’s operations and ensure everything runs smoothly.
In addition to my secretarial duties, I’ve been the organiser of our annual switch-on event, a tradition I’ve overseen since I started volunteering. Each year, it’s incredibly rewarding to see the town come together for this special moment when the lights illuminate our streets.
I’ve also contributed to various aspects of the event, including fundraising, install and maintenance of the lights, and running our social media accounts to keep everyone informed and excited about what’s happening.
It’s been an incredible journey to be part of such a cherished community event, and I’m proud to continue contributing to the Newport Pagnell Christmas Lights year after year.
