What an incredible fall season it’s been! Thank you to everyone who helped make our Open House & Enchanted Forest such a success. From the creative club displays to the smiling families who joined us, the afternoon perfectly captured what makes 4-H worth being a part of.
Looking ahead, I hope you’ll join us on Monday, November 24 at 6:00 p.m. at Acuity Corporate Headquarters for our Annual 4-H Awards, Recognition & Trip Scholarship Program. This evening celebrates the hard work, leadership, and service of our members, volunteers, and clubs. Please be sure to RSVP and encourage your members to sign up for speaking or support roles; it’s a wonderful way for youth to take part in honoring their peers.
As we move into November, a quick reminder to complete your re-enrollment by November 1 and ensure volunteer trainings and background checks are wrapped up by December 1. These small steps keep everyone ready for another successful year ahead! Please note: if you are not re-enrolled, this will be the last Cloverleaf Crier you receive, as our email distribution list is pulled directly from 4HOnline.
As always, if your club or project has updates or calendar items, please email sheboyganco4h@gmail.com. Crier updates are due by the 20th of each month.
All returning members should re-enroll in 4-H each year by November 1. Project enrollment deadlines are:
March 1, 2026 – Animal, Shooting Sports, and Blacksmithing projects
May 1, 2026 – All other projects
The How to Join 4-H page is a helpful resource to get started and answer many enrollment “how-to” questions.
Adult Volunteers: If 4-H Online thinks you were born in 1920, you’re not alone. We’ve spotted quite a few “super seniors” in the system. If that’s you, send Emily Lamb a note at elamb5@wisc.edu and she will help fix it.
And while you’re checking your profile, don’t forget that all volunteer trainings and background checks must be completed by December 1 if you plan to serve as a leader this 4-H year.

Online Training: (In 4-H Online - Required Only)
As many of you know, we are currently short on countywide project leaders in areas such as photography, sewing, and the arts. To continue offering high-quality learning opportunities, we are planning to bring in guest instructors, educators, and community experts who are willing to share their knowledge with our youth.
Since these guest instructors are not enrolled 4-H volunteers, we are looking for approved 4-H adult volunteers to help support these sessions. Your role would be to:
Be present as the approved 4-H volunteer with required trainings, ensuring youth protection policies are met.
Provide light assistance with logistics (such as set-up, organization, or supporting the guest instructor as needed).
Work with Extension staff as partners to make the session run smoothly.
Some of these sessions may be one-time workshops, while others could expand depending on interest and logistics.
In addition, if you are an approved volunteer who isn’t interested in leading a countywide project with recurring meetings, but would be willing to share a hobby or skill in a shorter format, we’d love to set something up! This could be a Project or Art Day session or an evening workshop during the 4-H year. Skills like knitting, fabric arts, scrapbooking, card making, or wood burning are all great examples of interests youth would love to try.
If you’d like to be involved either as a supporting volunteer for guest-led sessions or by sharing your own skill please email sheboyganco4h@gmail.com. Together we can keep a wide variety of opportunities alive for Sheboygan County 4-H youth!
