All Sheboygan County youth in grades K–12 are invited to participate in the 2026 Conservation Poster Contest, sponsored by the Sheboygan County Land & Water Conservation Department and WI Land+Water.
This year’s theme is: “Soil: Where It All Begins.”
Contest Details
Open to public, private, and home school students, grades K–12
Divisions: K-1, 2-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12
Poster size must be 12”x18” or 14”x22”
Posters must include the theme “Soil: Where It All Begins” written on the poster
Any media may be used (paint, crayon, pencil, charcoal, stickers, etc. – no computer generated posters)
Posters must have a completed and signed entry form attached
Key Dates
Posters due to County: January 2, 2026 by 4:30 p.m.

Area Contest: January 30, 2026 (Lake Michigan Area – virtual)
State Contest: March 4–6, 2026 at the WI Land+Water Annual Conference (Wisconsin Dells)
National Contest: Entries due Dec. 1, 2026
Prizes
Winning posters advance to the next contest level (area, state, national)
Local prizes include vouchers to Camp Ykoda for every age level
