The selected project for this assessment is the ARCA Clubhouse, originally developed in Studio Design 2B at Kuala Lumpur University of Science and Technology (KLUST). The project was designed as a dedicated clubhouse for architecture students, providing spaces for collaboration, learning, creative activities, discussions, and social interaction.
The design process involved several stages, including precedent studies, schools of thought exploration, site analysis, concept development, schematic planning, and design refinement. These stages contributed to the development of a clubhouse that responds to both functional requirements and the needs of its users.
The design was guided by the idea of transparency and interaction, expressed through the combination of coloured glass and concrete materials. A transparency gradient was used to create varying levels of openness and privacy, while enhancing visual connections, natural lighting, and user experience within the building. The project aimed to create an inspiring environment that reflects the creativity and collaborative culture of architecture students.

Design Brief & Project Requirements
The project brief required the design of a flexible and sustainable clubhouse for architecture students at KLUST. The proposal was expected to accommodate various activities, including collaborative learning, model-making, exhibitions, social interaction, recreation, and large gatherings. The design also needed to integrate with the campus environment while promoting sustainability, accessibility, and user comfort.

The proposed site is located within the KLUST campus, where the clubhouse acts as a gathering hub for architecture students. The site offers opportunities for social interaction, outdoor activities, and integration with the surrounding campus environment. Throughout the design process, research, precedent studies, site analysis, concept exploration, and schematic development were documented in the project portfolio. The final presentation boards summarised the completed design proposal through drawings, diagrams, visualisations, and technical development work.
