float flying

The North Country Flying Tigers are very active in the float flying area. We have a FRIA (FAA-Recognized-ID-Area) at the Nolan Road boat launch site in South Glens Falls, NY, where we host multiple float flying events during the warmer months. Plus, one of our members has a camp on Schroon Lake, NY, where we motor up to enjoy a fantastic day at a beautiful site.

If you're into RC boating, both sites offer superb areas in which to do it! Club members have all kinds of floating models, from high-end racing boats, to tugboats (used to rescue our aircraft, as needed!).
