WEDNESDAY EVENING RECAP (SEPT. 23):

I arrived a bit late at 5:00 and the guys were already packing up.

Fred Johnson brought a UMX Cirrus that Tom Brant was helping to get the C.G. right. He also flew a quadcopter by FPV and it actually had an automatic "return to home" function.

Bob Ernst flew his ducted fan Neptune flying wing and his Pop Wing.

Ed Van Gelder previously maidened his E Flite V1200, which Tom speed gunned at 125 mph!! He also maidened a UMX Turbo Timber, a Pilatus, and the newly released Tucano which he purchased at the N.E.A.T. Fair. He arrived in the morning to mow the airfield. Thanks, Ed!!

As everyone was leaving David Bogue arrived. His planes, the Apprentice S and the Timber X, are still in disrepair, so he didn't get to fly even though the breeze was v e r y light.

I learned that Hugo Salinas brought his son along earlier and used a quadcopter to find the Cub he lost in the trees to the South. Minor damage.

There were no trainees today.
