I have been in post as Head of Department for Physical Education at The Priory School since September 2016. Prior to this I was Lead Practitioner for Physical Education at The Nobel School, Stevenage. Whilst at The Nobel School I also was employed in a number of leadership roles including Second in Department for Physical Education, Head of Girls' Physical Education and School Sports Coordinator. I have led a range of examination classes including GCSE, A Level, OCR National and BTEC Sport.

I have been fortunate to work in collaboration with other schools in my role as School Sports Coordinator. The experience I gained from working in a successful Sports Partnership and at a Sports College has been invaluable. In 2014-2015 I was given a secondment of one day a week to lead on secondary partnership work in Physical Education in Stevenage. This was organised through the Schools' Sport Partnership and School Games initiative. This involved working with the other secondary Heads of Department to lead on competitions, events, shared teaching and learning concerns and Continuing Professional Development.

I have led both primary and secondary CPD events specific to my own subject and on general pedagogical topics. This has led to the successful completion of a Teacher Led Development Work project leading to a Master's degree in Leading Teaching and Learning. Through these experiences I have demonstrated leadership of others in the drive for improvement both in my own school and in the local area.
