National Special Education Day 2022
National Special Education Day commemorates the anniversary of our nation's first federal special education law, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, signed by President Ford on December 2, 1975. The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act made public education available to all eligible children with disabilities across the nation and ensured special education and related services were provided for those children.
On November 11th, we kicked off this years project in recognition of National Special Education Day on Friday, December 2. This project is a collaboration between the Niskayuna Art & Design Department, Niskayuna Special Education Parent Teacher Association (Nisky SEPTA) and C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios!
