Tele-Siblings is a lecture-performance that brings together two brothers separated by immigration, communicating in real-time via Zoom. The artist, acting as host, interviews them as they navigate their virtual connection. One brother resides in Tehran, Iran, still living in their childhood home, while the other is in Seattle, U.S. The performance incorporates old family photos, videos, and personal mementos as conversation prompts. Each participant operates two cameras—one fixed, one mobile—while the host also has a camera, creating a layered visual experience. Tele-Siblings explores the impact of digital communication on familial bonds, distance, environmental theatre and memory.
